Atlantic storm on big screen
In a single unbroken shot the Latvian artist Voldemars Johansons captured a violent storm raging over the Atlantic Ocean on the Faroe Islands. The 50-minute audiovisual installation created from this footage is screened on a loop in the bottling hangar of the former Cardinal brewery. The audience comes face to face with the savage beauty of nature unleashed, thundering water, rain and wind while free to contemplate and move around the space. A hypnotic meditation on the origins of life.
